Every second, every heartbeat
The thing that one either dreads or desires is coming
Sometimes when you least expect it
And sometimes the ones who want it the least, suffer the most

Living is a journey
Mortality gives a sick sort of meaning to this journey
The end,
Could come at anytime
The clock with stop ticking
No one will ever know
Darkness can take over
And no one will know
We will all be gone
There will be nothing left
And no one will ever know
How bad it really got

Everything can be gone in a second
Yet,
We all still take things for granted
Everything can be gone in a second
You will shed your last tear, laugh your last laugh
And you never really know
Mortality gives meaning to the journey
The clock is ticking
Time is running out

Every heartbeat is a tick of the clock
closer to the end
Darkness for the rest of eternity
The cycle of life is never ending
Until
The clock stops ticking
This man made world ends
All of mankind is gone

As sad as it is
Our lives are out of our control
Live your life
Until the clock stops.
