Trapped inside 4 walls.
Not going anywhere.
Not being able to escape.
But still watching the world.
Days turning into nights, nights turning back into days.
At first, it went slow.
But the same routine, every single day, began to speed up.
Hours felt like minutes.
Minutes felt like seconds.
But at the same time, it was the longest thing I’ve experienced.
Complete isolation, seeing no one but the ones I live with.
Our house is our glass cage.
Seeing the world move on day after day, while sitting inside, watching from a distance.
No one ever realized they were in a glass cage until they weren’t allowed out of it.
