I always thought I liked being alone.
I enjoyed the silence,
But now I am drowning in it
and I’m choking on quiet nothingness.
I’m knee deep in this self isolation,
and I’m starting to miss the days
when the warm sunlight caressed my face
or when the frosty winds made me shiver.
When the day that this all ends comes,
I’ll never take the little things for granted again.
